Where was I?
The views over this busy, strategic Highland location were worth the long, pathless but not technically difficult ascent. There was evidence of past mining activity, and towards the top of the mountain it became very rocky. Despite all the people far below, I had this rather unfashionable Corbett to myself. The mountain panorama, especially to the north, was spectacular, dominated by ‘the hill of the small stream’ – a shapely Munro – just across the valley. Why don’t more walkers go out of their Way more often?
