Inspired by Salomon's ski-boot heritage, these are fabulously comfortable and meaty hiking boots but with the nimbleness and good looks of a trail shoe...

+ Look the business. Comfortable straight out of the box. Solid lacing system with locking eyelets and a generous padded tongue really secure your foot in place and offer excellent stability. The sole unit is incredibly light, grippy and agile. Gore-tex lined inners offer good ventilation.

– Nothing of note.

Verdict: Inspired by Salomon’s ski-boot heritage, these are fabulously comfortable and meaty hiking boots but with the nimbleness and good looks of a trail shoe.

Price: £130
Info: www.salomonsports.com/uk
Sizes: M 7-14 / W 5-12

www.salomonsports.com

+ Additional extras mean you can customise the pack. Great stability and a comfortable fit.

– If you add the optional front pocket, you won’t be able to see your feet.

Verdict: Lightweight and really moves with your body.
