The longest walk

OK, so it’s maybe not the longest walk ever undertaken, but 24 year-old Nat Severs’ solo trek around the entire UK coastline must rank as one of the more challenging – physically and mentally – we’ve come across. So in November, walk traveled out to intercept him as he walked along the south coast, catching up with him as he traversed Winchelsea Beach near Hastings. At a local café (hence the background noise) we asked him about the highs and lows of his trip, the challenges of staying near the coast and how it felt to be heading home at last.

You can read an in-depth interview with Nat from the Autumn 2010 issue of Walk Magazine here, read his previous posts for Walkmag.co.uk here and follow his whole at http://natsevs.wordpress.com.
