New Ramblers’ president addresses South Downs anniversary
In April, the Ramblers’ newly elected president, Kate Ashbrook (left), joined 50 other countryside lovers for a walk to celebrate the first birthday of the South Downs National Park. A tireless supporter and member of the Ramblers for 30 years, Kate is well known for her work with the Open Spaces Society and for leading the campaign to open up the infamous van Hoogstraten path in East Sussex.
