Baton Walk and parties celebrate Ramblers’ 75th

75thStory1

A giant Baton Walk around Britain and a series of Fill Your Flask parties are just some of the great events being planned to celebrate the Ramblers’ 75th anniversary in 2010. Ramblers groups will be organising anniversary walks up and down the country carrying a specially made anniversary baton, which will make its way around Britain over the course of the year, beginning in England’s south west and finishing in its south east. Others will be raising a birthday toast to the Ramblers by offering a favourite tipple for walkers’ flasks at the start or end of their led walks, with donations asked to fund the Ramblers’ charitable work for another 75 years. To find out about your nearest Baton Walk or Fill Your Flask party, or for advice on how to set up your own celebratory event, visit www.ramblers75.org.uk75thStory3
