Got to be honest: when I saw these I thought "welcome to the cardigan brigade". But then I'm not known for my fashion sense. These shoes proved my judgement was again way off track. The moment I put them on, I knew - like Sharon with her Eccos - that this was love. Unequivocally these are the best easy trail shoes I have worn. Snug fit, held my heel in nicely, good toe protection and excellent grip. They offered enough flexibility to let my foot move through its natural range of motion, yet balanced this with enough stability in construction for secure footing. Five days of solid walking on easy to medium trails and not one complaint - and that was straight out of the box. Extremely breathable but may be a bit too lightweight for those who equate ruggedness with bulk and stiffness. I grew to love the look of them, too. Highly recommended.
