Hi-Tec V-Lite Hurricane
V-Lite Hurricane (women's) £60.00
I'm not the biggest long distance walker, well not yet anyway. There has, however been a change in my lifestyle recently when I acquired a rescue dog. This of course means I am now walking more than I ever have before. Enter the V-Lite Hurricane Events. Now of course, I can only compare them to my other footwear, none of which are good quality. That said I know when something feels good on my feet and these certainly did. They took a few hours of light walking to break in and then felt great. The first thing I noticed was they made me feel, somehow, lighter. That's got to be worth the money in itself. They were very supportive without squashing my feet, indeed my toes could wiggle plenty, obviously good for wearing thick socks in winter. The varied terrains I crossed on test have been easier than with any other foot ware I have had. They seem fairly waterproof although the ultimate test will come in winter. My feet feel warm and cosy but don't seem to get too hot: they have a ventilation system which does well to keep them at an even temperature. My feet felt well protected but the shoes were still flexible with good grip, which makes me a more confident walker. I will now cross terrains that I wouldn't have before. I would highly recommend the Hurricane's as a midrange walking shoe. For me, they were so comfortable that I just didn't think about my feet at all and leaving my mind free to enjoy watching my two sons run and play with our new dog in our beautiful countryside. What more could you want from a pair of shoes!
