Brasher Mistral (Women's)
Approach shoe: Brasher Mistral (women's) £50.00
Basher claims this shoe is aimed at "those looking for a mix of style and performance". Yes, it's well padded around the ankle, tongue and sides, but because there is so much padding the shoe looks chunky and even a little clumsy. This padding also cuts down on the material's ability to breath, which means in warm weather you may have hot, even wet, feet.
The Vibram sole offers good grip and the protective rubber toebox offers better protection than most. Sadly, the support from the footbed is virtually non-existent. This is not a waterproof shoe and is probably best suited for summer use and light walking. Finally, it's a small niggle, but there is no loop at the heel to help pull the shoes on. All in all, a slightly disappointing shoe from a very well respected company.
