The inner needs to be pitched first (not ideal if it’s raining) but it is very quick and easy – the moment the two poles are slotted in the tent pops into shape. A Geodesic shape design, it is generous in the headroom department (two people can sit in here comfortably) and once pegged down it is stable even in high winds. The small repair kit is a thoughtful gesture. On the downside, the 50cm tapering porch is rather small and at 3.5kg it is heavier than the other two tents, but at £45 it’s fantastic value. Length 210cm (plus 50cm for porch), width 145cm, height 105cm.
