Garmin eTrex H
entry-level GPS £99.99
At less than £100, this cheap and cheerful entry-level GPS still packs a punch. You get all the basic functionality of a dearer model including excellent accuracy in all conditions as well as sufficient internal
memory for most walkers. It has an intuitive interface - ideal for first timers getting to grips with GPS - all packed into a rugged but lightweight unit. The low price only gives you a low resolution black and white
screen and you'll probably need a converter cable (£20-£40) if you wish to link it up to a computer, but if you want a simple GPS perhaps just for reassurance in bad weather, it's excellent value for money.
