Where was I?

A walk with historic links to events that shook Britain nearly two millennia ago, separating England and Scotland by a massive military engineering enterprise. Following our coast-to-coast path eastwards – and having passed the route’s highest point two miles back – we would shortly come to a point where another National Trail branches off northwards. We paused on this incline, overlooking a farm where warm deposits might be made.
