Where was I?

It was day two of nine tackling this varied and scenic National Trail. We’d made a brief diversion to inspect the remains of an historic religious retreat, then sheltered in hillside woods by an odd transmitter station to escape a shower. Now, on the National Trust-owned heather moors, there were views along the escarpment to several prominent bumps and hilltops in the distance. Just beyond here, the trail coincided with another famous moors route: shorter but more gruelling, especially if you choose to do it in the traditional 24 hours.

WIN ODLO BODYWEAR

The first name (with correct answer) picked at random for the Where was I? competition will win a baselayer outfit (top and bottom, worth £100) from the ODLO Original X-Warm collection. The X-Warm is designed to give high-warmth insulation, has good moisture management, and comes with odour prevention thanks to silver ions that are permanently within the fabric. This collection has double layer inserts that are carefully positioned to protect vital organs and keep the key areas of the body warm.

The first 10 names (with correct answer) picked at random for the Crossword will each win an Original X-Warm baselayer long-sleeved crew neck, worth £50. Find out more about the range at www.odlo.com.

Send us your ‘Where was I?’ challenge with a good-sized image, no more than 100 words of clues and the answer (with a six-figure grid ref) to walkmag@ramblers.org.uk.
