Am really interested in your piece about drovers. I'm an historical novelist researching the late fourteenth century and hope my series brings back into general awareness the lives of ordinary people. As you say the drovers carried messages and information (news of the Peoples' Rising of 1381 for instance?) and I'd like to know more. Do you know of any maps of the drove roads? I'm particularly interested in country north of the Trent but can find little beyond local knowledge of the Wolds Way in the East Riding.
